I am moving out…
Soon you have to say goodbye! We hope, you had a good time at our dorm.
This is what you should consider when moving out:
Soon you will leave the dormitory. Your check-out needs to take place on the last working day of the month (Monday – Friday) according to the contract (see point 12). Please put your keys (blue chip and mailbox key) into our mailbox in front of the office in the lobby or hand it over to your dorm manager until 11 a.m. at the latest.
If you want to leave before then, you can always put the key and chip in the mailbox in front of the office. Please let your dorm manager know if you plan to move out earlier.
Your room:
The room must be vacated at the agreed time and prepared for the handover. Your things should be packed and your rubbish should be removed from your room as well as from the communal areas. The room must be swept clean, otherwise we will charge a fee of EUR 40.00 for an extra cleaning.
Please also remember to remove your food from the refrigerator! Please note that no items can be left or stored in the dorm. If you want to leave any items to your fellow residents in the dorm, you need to make sure which items your fellow residents will take prior to your check-out.
You can use the forum for things and food you don’t want or need anymore.

What document do I have to give to you when moving-out?
Please hand in the completed deposit refund form or put it into our mailbox when moving out. You can find the document on the home4students web portal and a user’s manual here.
If your account does not show any outstanding payment and your room has no damages, you will receive the total amount less EUR 30.- for cleaning costs, according to the contract, within 4-6 weeks to the bank account stated on your deposit refund form. The money transfer is free of charge in the entire SEPA area.
Notice of departure:
Please do not forget to deregister from the dorm address at the “Meldeamt”/registration office at city hall. You must do this 3 days prior or after moving out.
Spread the news:
Please do not forget to de-register from the dorms’ address and make sure that you inform all companies/people (such as banks or diverse subscriptions) about your address modification well enough in advance. In case you stay in Austria, you can arrange for an affordable change-of-address order at the post office.
