Your move-in date has been set, please bring the following with you:
- Photo ID
- home4students contract (printed)
- Registration form = Meldezettel (printed)
- SEPA form (only possible with a bank account from SEPA area)
Before you move in, you will receive your move-in details via email, these are also the dorm rules. You check your room carefully using the inventory list, as this is used to determine any damage you may have caused/was already there and hand it in with your signature on it within 3 working days, otherwise we will assume that the damage was caused by you (drop it in the mail box for the check-out next to the office on the ground floor).
You have to register within 3 working days at city hall because this is mandatory in Austria. You received the registration form for this by e-mail – please print out the registration form in advance and get the signature of the dorm manager before you go to city hall.
You already received the following move-in details via email:
- the move-in details (or rather the dorm rules)
- the inventory list
- an instruction on damage reports
- a plan of the surrounding area
- and the UNISTARTER offer for equipping your room

General information on your dorm
If you want to name a person we should contact in case of emergency, please send us an email and provide the following data:
- name
- relationship to contact person
- telephone number
Please make sure that this person speaks German or English and agrees to pass these personal details to us.
You will find the latest information there. Important information is also sent out by e-mail.
The ethernet outlets do not work currently, so please use the WIFI.
The access information for the WIFI is:

Please take note of the Internet Terms of Use. The stability of the WIFI in the dorm can be severely impaired by overload or interference signals (e.g. use of private routers or access points). The operation of such devices also violates the Internet Terms of Use.
In the event of a disruption, we reserve the right to pass on the costs for the repair.
The lounge is in Erzherzog Eugen Straße 39 next to the office and can be used from 6 am until 10 pm. After 10 pm it is forbidden to be in the Lounge. Please always keep the Lounge tidy and clean – take your garbage with you and dispose of it in the garbage bins in the courtyard. Furthermore, it is not allowed to smoke in the Lounge or anywhere else inside the buildings.
You can find the mailbox of the dorm manager in the staircase of Erzherzog Eugen Straße 39. You can put in any other documents as well, if you are unable to hand them in personally.
If the address on letters and parcels is incorrect or incomplete, they will be returned to the sender. You cannot receive any mail before your contract starts (moving in), since you do not know your room number yet – therefore the address is incomplete! – and someone else is living in your room at the moment.
During 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. you have to keep the peace at night (according to the Austrian law), reduce noise level to an adequate volume. We point out that we will take decisive action in cases of disturbances.
Generally, overnight stays are only possible with the permission of the dorm administration. Each resident has permission for 4 overnight stays per month.
Flatmates must be informed. The overnight stays must still be registered with the dorm management in advance.
Please mind that energy costs also influence the pricing of the dorm. So we ask you to keep the energy use as low as possible.
For example: If you are the last one to leave a room: turn off the light when leaving. And if the heating is still on, you should only ventilate the room for about 10 minutes (open the window all the way and then close it again – do not leave it tilted, when the heating is on!).
The environement is thankful too.
You’re not alone. We would like to remind you that you live in a community. Please treat your roommates with consideration!
Leave the common rooms clean and please keep the night-time peace. Keep the windows closed between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m. in case you’re listening to music or several people are chatting. Be especially quiet in the hallways and in front of the rooms between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m.!
Please don’t put any items on the outer window board.
If you break the rules of the bylaws or the dorm rules or if you infringe the contract, we have to issue a warning (to you). If you violate the rules again, you will receive the second warning, which is also the premature termination of your contract with home4students. Please do not let it get to that point in the first place!
